“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”

― Sylvia Plath

I would not consider myself a writer. I can crunch an essay in here and there, but I do not tend to find myself writing for fun. Sadly, the public education system has wired my brain into only writing research and argumentative essays, instead of a narrative or any sort of fiction. Writing anything other than what I am used to is a difficulty. I hate the process of writing a story; my brain just cannot work that way.

The antithesis of me would be Sylvia Plath, she can write anything and its a classic. This is probably considered hypocritical, but I prefer reading fiction and poetry to a research essay. I chose this quote because I could take away something from it: self-doubt is my enemy when trying to write creatively.
